EU Funding Supports International Partnerships for Micro-Enterprises and SMEs

In September 2025, a new EU-funded initiative allocated €6.75 million to support the internationalisation of micro-enterprises and SMEs through structured cross-border partnerships.

The programme encourages collaborative market-entry strategies, where groups of at least three companies jointly develop international expansion plans, share market risks, and access new customers together. This approach strengthens competitiveness and accelerates growth in foreign markets.

For small and medium-sized businesses, the initiative highlights the growing importance of strategic alliances as a key driver of international success in an increasingly competitive global economy.
