In mid-2025, the European Innovation Council (EIC) launched the Global Business Expansion Programme, specifically designed to support EU-backed companies in scaling their operations beyond European borders.

The programme offers tailored access to global innovation ecosystems, international business mentoring, investor matchmaking, and strategic market-entry support. It targets companies that already have validated technologies or business models and are ready to expand into high-growth international markets.

Rather than providing direct funding, the initiative delivers hands-on commercial support, helping European innovators build strategic partnerships, attract international investors, and strengthen their global market presence.
